Day 1: Day 1

Welcome to Iceland! You begin your adventure today with a rental car from Keflavík International Airport or Reykjavík city. Start by exploring the capital, Reykjavík. Get to know the history, culture and nightlife of this vibrant city. Reykjavík is home to many museums, galleries and restaurants. Be sure to visit the famous geothermal pool, the Blue Lagoon. Accommodation tonight is in Reykjavík city.

Day 2: Day 2

Today, you drive towards the Westfjords. This is one of the most remote and beautiful parts of Iceland. On the way, you'll stop at the Grábrók crater, Búðardalur and Reykhólar. Reykhólar is known for its birdwatching. In the evening, you'll arrive in Hólmavík, where you'll stay overnight.

Day 3: Day 3

Today, you explore the Strandir region of the Westfjords. This is a beautiful and wild area. You'll visit the Laugarhóll pool, Djúpavík and Krossneslaug geothermal pool. In the evening, you'll return to Hólmavík for overnight accommodation.

Day 4: Day 4

Today, you drive along the north side of the Westfjords. You'll stop at the Reykjanes geothermal pool, Súðavík and Ísafjörður. Ísafjörður is the capital of the Westfjords. This is a great place to try traditional Icelandic cuisine. You'll stay overnight in the Ísafjörður area.

Day 5: Day 5

Today, you explore the town of Ísafjörður and the surrounding area. You'll visit Bolungarvík, Bolafjall and the Ísafjörður Museum. In the evening, you'll return to your accommodation in the Ísafjörður area.

Day 6: Day 6

Today, you explore the Westfjords. You'll visit Flateyri, Dynjandi waterfall and the Þingeyri Museum. In the evening, you'll stay overnight in the Patreksfjörður area.

Day 7: Day 7

Today, you'll visit Látrabjarg and Rauðasandur. Látrabjarg is the westernmost point of Iceland and home to many bird species. Rauðasandur is a beautiful red sand beach. In the evening, you'll return to your accommodation in the Patreksfjörður area.

Day 8: Day 8

Today, you return to Reykjavík city for your last night in Iceland. Be sure to visit some of the places you didn't have time for earlier. There are many great restaurants and bars in Reykjavík. Accommodation tonight is in Reykjavík city.

Day 9: Day 9

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to explore Reykjavík city or Reykjanes peninsula before returning your rental car at Keflavík International Airport. Your Iceland adventure comes to an end.
