On this 5-day tour of Iceland's south coast, you'll get to experience the country's stunning natural scenery, including glaciers, waterfalls, black sand beaches, and more. You'll also get to learn about Iceland's rich history and culture, with stops at Thingvellir National Park and the Skogar Folk Museum. This is the perfect way to experience all that Iceland has to offer in a short amount of time.
Day 1: Day 1
After arriving at Keflavík International Airport, you'll pick up your rental car and head to Reykjavík, the capital city of Iceland. Reykjavík is a lively and vibrant city, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars to explore. You'll also want to visit some of the city's most popular sights, such as the Hallgrímskirkja church and the Harpa concert hall. After a busy day of sightseeing, you'll retire to your accommodation in Reykjavík for the night.
Day 2: Day 2
On the second day of your tour, you'll head out of the city to explore the Golden Circle, a popular tourist route that takes in some of Iceland's most stunning natural scenery. You'll start by visiting Thingvellir National Park, where you can see the country's unique geological features up close. You'll also visit the Gullfoss waterfall and the geothermal area of Haukadalur, where you can see the famous geysers in action. After a full day of exploring, you'll head back to your accommodation in the Hella area for the night.
Day 3: Day 3
On day three, you'll continue your journey along the south coast of Iceland. You'll start by visiting the town of Vík, where you can explore the black sand beaches and take in the stunning views. You'll also visit the nearby Vatnajökull National Park, where you can explore the glaciers and waterfalls. After a full day of adventure, you'll return to your accommodation in the Vík area for the night.
Day 4: Day 4
On the fourth day of your tour, you'll explore more of the south coast of Iceland. You'll start by visiting the Skogar Folk Museum, where you can learn about the history and culture of the area. You'll then head to the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, where you can see the glaciers up close. After a full day of exploration, you'll return to your accommodation in the Vík area for the night.
Day 5: Day 5
On the final day of your tour, you'll head back to Keflavík International Airport to return your rental car and catch your flight home.
