Day 1: Day 1
Start your trip by picking up your rental car at the airport and driving into Reykjavik. Check into your accommodation and spend the rest of the day exploring the city. Head out of Reykjavik early and begin your drive around the Golden Circle. Make sure to stop at the Thingvellir National Park, where you can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
Day 3: Day 3
Drive to the Reykjanes peninsula, where you can explore the unique geology of the area at the Reykjanes geopark. Take a walk through the lava fields, see the Gunnuhver hot springs, and visit the Seltún geothermal area. In the evening, relax in your accommodation in Reykjavik.

Depart Reykjavik and return your rental car at the airport.
