We at Play Iceland are committed to protect your privacy and welfare, therefore we urge you to read the following terms and conditions carefully as they contain legal obligations. By using our website (www.playiceland.is) you agree to the following terms and conditions. By using our website you are stating that you are able and fit to travel.
For additional information on passport requirements, Visa and health issues, please visit the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Iceland. Passengers are responsible for having necessary travel and health documents prior to departure. Play Iceland cannot be held accountable if passengers are refused entry upon arrival to Iceland or any other country due to lack of necessary documentation. In this event any claims of reimbursement will be forfeited.
The use of our website is intended for legitimate requests to book products and service that is offered. By using the website you are agreeing not to make false or fraudulent requests.
Play Iceland does not operate any tours but directs its customers to tour operators and other service providers in Iceland. Therefore Play Iceland can not be held accountable for any accidents, losses, sickness, injuries, damages, labor disputes, machine malfunctions, delays and expenses due to any action or inaction of tour operators, guides or other service affiliates. We recommend that our customers purchase adequate travel insurance that cover all activities during the visit. The travel policy should be read carefully prior to departure and brought along.
For information purposes, most operators reserve the right to change routes, itineraries and/or schedules in the case of weather conditions or other unforeseen reasons. When a product has been selected, we recommend reading the terms and conditions of the tour operator or service provider that is responsible for delivery.
Should any grievances arise between you and the tour operator or service provider, please direct your complaints to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to sort them out.
In the event of cancellation a written notice must be sent to Play Iceland by e-mail (email@example.com). As per business practices in Iceland, the traveller is required to pay a cancellation fee as follows:
- 21+ days prior to arrival – Confirmation fee
- 14 – 20 days prior to arrival – 50% cancellation fee is charged
- 4 – 13 days prior to arrival – 75% cancellation fee is charged
- Less than 3 days prior to arrival – 100% cancellation fee is charged
The cancellation fee is calculated from the total price of the holiday that the traveller has booked with Play Iceland.
Cancellations due to weather or volcanic activity are however fully refunded.

Prices listed on the website are per person unless otherwise specified. Please note that the prices are listed in Icelandic kronas (ISK) and can change in accordance to the fluctuations of the currency rate, government tax changes or other cost increase which is beyond Play Iceland´s control. Tour operators and other service affiliates may also change their prices at any given time so prices may change abruptly. When booking is confirmed prices are guaranteed against surcharges other than currency changes.
Play Iceland accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and JCB.
